Skills for Employment

Skills for Employment is working in partnership with schools and the education system to deliver practical construction courses for all abilities.

The City & Guilds courses have been carefully selected to deliver the knowledge and practical skills to help learners take their first steps into a career in construction.

Our construction program is unique, using the City & Guilds qualification structure as a framework for learning. Working in partnership with the construction industry, our courses deliver an 'employment led' learning environment, with a real focus on apprenticeships and job opportunities for the future.

Through our unique partner engagement, learners enjoy a full work experience program, gain valuable site experience, working on larger scale projects and school maintenance work to put their knowledge and skills to the test under real work conditions.
